Pop Quiz

Following up on the story about Silvestre Reyes not knowing whether al Qaeda was Sunni or Shiite, Digby points out that many (most?) members of Congress and Administration don't have a clue (he singles out George "Slam Dunk" Tenent, Saint John "Stop the bullshit" McCain and Trent "They all look the same to me" Lott) and then offers a suggestion:

I also think the Democratic leadership would do well to organize some tutorials and lectures on the middle east and require the elected officials and their staffs to attend. I'm not kidding. This is a grave problem and since the administration is led by an idiot and run by a bunch of faith based magical thinkers, it behooves the Democrats to do better.
